Is there alcohol in your Wine Jelly?

No. Even though the jellies start out as wine, all the alcohol burns off during the cooking.

Why do you make Wine Jelly?

I am a self-proclaimed “wine geek” and I love to cook. I have combined two of my passions.

Do you really make the Jelly yourself?

Yes. But, we are a true family operation. I cook and can all the jelly myself. My wife, Barbara, is the head of the
”quality control department”; she tastes every batch to make sure that the consistency between batches is there.
Our youngest daughter cleans all the jars after they have cooled and applies on the shrink-wraps and helps with labeling.

Why does some of the jelly look so “loose”?

The jelly takes some time to set up fully. Sometimes it takes only a few days, other times it will take about a month.
The jelly is perfect to eat as is. But, if you want your jelly to have a firmer set simply put in your pantry or any cool dark place and let it fully set up. Before you know it, you will have the firm jelly you are used to.
